Our private fishing trips are fully outfitted to make your day on the water as stress-free and successful as possible. We provide a top-tier 27-foot Sportcraft Cuddy Cabin boat equipped with advanced fish-finding electronics, high-end Okuma trolling reels, Daiwa Wilderness rods, custom tackle, and all necessary fresh bait. You will also have access to a clean, fully private onboard restroom (toilet). The only things not included are your personal fishing license, snacks, and fish cleaning services, which are available at the dock for $3 per fish.
Do you need an Ohio fishing license for a Lake Erie charter trip?
Yes, any angler aged 16 or older must have a valid Ohio fishing license before stepping aboard. If you are visiting from out of state, the Ohio Department of Natural Resources (ODNR) offers affordable 1-day or 3-day tourist licenses. You can easily purchase and download your license online via the ODNR website on your phone before your departure date.

To ensure a comfortable day on the open water, we recommend bringing the following items:

We will contact you directly a day or two before your scheduled trip to provide exact directions to the specific marina or boat slip we are using to ensure you are positioned right on the fish.
What happens if weather or rough waves cancel our Lake Erie fishing guide trip?
Your safety is our absolute highest priority. Lake Erie weather can change quickly, and Captain Keith monitors wave heights and wind forecasts constantly. If conditions are deemed unsafe for trolling or navigation, we will cancel the trip. In the event of a weather cancellation, you will receive a full refund of your deposit, or we can work together to reschedule your charter for the next available date.
What species will we catch, and what is the best time for Lake Erie walleye trolling?
We specialize in world-class Lake Erie walleye trolling and fall steelhead trout charters. While walleye can be caught throughout our entire season, the action peaks from late spring through the summer as massive schools migrate through the Central Basin off Lorain. In the autumn months, we transition our focus to chasing hard-fighting, acrobatic steelhead.
